Typhoon Phanfone (aka typhoon #18) battered us for two days.

In the morning it had still been cold as the rain was pouring down. But what a beautiful day it turned into, once the rain stopped and the clouds cleared! The temperature was just perfect!

I headed back to Yomiuriland for some climbs. My times have improved steadily over the last month. I beat my previous best time on 4 of my last 5 rides.

Heading back down again after the third climb, my wife called to let me know about a change of plan. I thought I had to be back by 18:00, but it turned out I could ride longer.

I decided to head up the Tamagawa for a few more pictures.

The river looked wild, swollen with muddy water from the rains and had flooded its banks.

As the sun set and I started to run out of daylight, I turned around.

What a lovely evening :)

Meanwhile, I was enviously looking out the window and wondering why my latest, brand new Crunchbang system doesn't believe that its hardware includes either ethernet or wireless. Your day was a lot more rewarding.
