I willjoin, too!

Hi, Thomas!

I will join the tour.
May two visitors from Germany and Hungary join the tour, too?
Please let me know where and when the "Tokyoties" start from!
Thank you!

Walter

Getting there...

Less than a week away…

I spoke to Thomas earlier, and we've agreed to ride out to Yokota from Eastern-Tokyo.

People; Times; and Places; still need to be arranged, so how about this for an 11:30 arrival at the No.5 Ushima Supply Gate?

Here's the map!
http://www.mapmyrun.com/ride/japan/tokyo/893124479
It's 35km (20miles) from Shinjuku – one way – so our main meeting place will be at:
SHINJUKU STATION – NEW SOUTH ENTRANCE, along Rte.20!
Time: 9:00! We'll wait for any late-comers, and roll out at 9:30.

Just to make sure we're all accounted for:

Shay (Freeride39) – On Base.
Ken (Kwill) – On Base.
B Winford – On Base?
Carizma – On Base?
E Hord – On Base?
-----------------------

Travis – From home to Shinjuku -Yokota!
Thomas - From home to Shinjuku – See you on the 14 corner at 8:30!
Shinobu - From home to Shinjuku(8:45に、14号線と昭和通りの角)
SHIBAGON - From home to Shinjuku(8:45に、14号線と昭和通りの角)
Nobu-chan – Haijima station, by train.
-----------------------

SHINJUKU STATION – New South Entrance:

Walter?
Norihikoh?
I LUV TEXAS?
Tokyoscoop?
Gmason (Greg)?
TrufflesEater (Dave)?
Sora?
-----------------------

For those who find Shinjuku a little bit out of the way, and want to meet along the road later, we can probably make one last stop on the corner of "Kampachi-dori" & "Ome-kaido" (Rte.4), or "Itsukaichi-kaido" (Rte.7) at around 10:00! – If you choose this route, please give definite details of where you will be – by the time we cross Kampachi, we might be on either Rte.4, or Rte.7. Those two roads run parallel to each other, and are about 1.5km apart, but it's best to all meet together.
We'll all need to be clear on this aspect.
-----------------------

Ayasechick – Can you find your way to any/either of the above meeting places?
Or, if you still prefer to take the Tamagawa-river road, maybe we can meet up at Haijima-station at about 11:15… How's that for you?
-------------------------

That's 18 people (semi) accounted for…

Please, all of you send confirmation replies when you have the time!
Rubber Down!

Travis

P.S. Shay, Ken, can you be at the gate at 11:30 to meet us all there?
That might help speed us through… Yoroshiku! T

I will join the tour from Shinagawa.
Please wait for me at Shinjuku Station at around 09:00!

Walter

Thanks!

That's great Walter!
How about your German & Hungarian friends?
I hope they can come too.
Travis

Yes I will meet you there at 1130. That GATE is a walk through for all visitors. Just park your bike and walk through, I will meet you.

Pls count me in.

Back when I was a young pup, I went to high school at Yokota and lived in Mitaka. Tora-san's route take us right through the area where I spent large chunks of mis-spent seisun... Route even takes us right by the par 3 golf course on Yokota that I worked a couple of summers at...

This will be a real homecoming ride for me and my family is out of town. Pls count me in. I'll be at Shinjuku at 9:00 am.

Tora-san... Are we taking Itsukaichi-kaido? Recall this was a fairly narrow road until it went past Fussa area - which may actually be an advantage with the large number of riders we have. Also, I assume most are riding back to Tokyo...or are we rinko-ng?

I found a site with a quick outline of the venue on Saturday. Doesn't look like the Thunderbirds (demo team) are making an appearance this year, but looks like great fun.

Hey Todor,

Great to hear from you again.
Glad you can make it too - It sounds like it'll be a fairly "natsukashii" ride for you.
Thanks for the band information/timetable as well!

And yes! We'll be on Rte.4 (青梅街道)until past Kampachi-dori.
5km after Kampachi, the road splits, and we'll take Rte.7 from there.
R7 - Itsukaichi-kaido - is a little bit narrow, but I'm pretty sure there's a lot less traffic than on R4, so it should be all right.

We'll have to see on the day how many people will be riding out, but at the moment I think there'll be about 12 people from Shinjuku.
I've also mailed Don, and asked him to put this thread on his site, so we may get some extra people that we weren't expecting - That should still work out fine.

BTW, there will be NO "rinko-bukuro-ing" home... Unless you decide to drink too much:beer:
But I think we'll all ride back home from there.

Really looking forward to it!
Travis

Hi all

Thanks for organizing this great cycling day out.

I do hope I will be able to make it. I just have to wait for conformation about my work situation. I will post in the next few days to confirm. Sorry about the delay.

It will be great to see and ride with TCC members again.

Hope to see you soon.

Why not?

Yokota is in my vicinity, 20 minutes ride. Why not in this tour.:)

Please let me in. A friend of mine, "okey" who was in Fuji climb tour a month ago, is interested in joining also. We will meet you at the gate.

However, I have to leave before Beer time. :mad:I have to be a "volunteer guard" at the firework festival place in the evening in my town.

連日暑いですね:warau:

Two more

Naomi-san and I will be there too. We'll most likely ride from home and meet you at Shinjuku.

Looks like a great day out. See you there.

AW.

Hey guys

I will meet everyone at the base since I didn't read about a centralized meeting place. Just come through the supply gate, slightly different plan from last year. Or I can meet some people at Tachikawa station and head up to the supply gate from there.

Confirmations.

>Shay (Freeride39): If you're going to ride from Tachikawa, please meet us on Rte.7 at about 10:45. We'll all be on "Itsukaichi-kaido" heading towards Haijima, so if you can make it to there, we'll see you along the way.

>Araim1: 新井さん、(okey-sanも)五日市街道まで来てくれればいいんじゃない?
よろしくね!T

Confirmed for the Shinjuku meeting at 9:00:

Travis,
Thomas,
Shinobu,
SHIBAGON >しのぶさんから個人的な連絡を待って、待ち合わせ場所へ一緒に、、、僕とトマスもそこでお待ちしてます。
Walter, and hopefully your two friends,
TrufflesEater (Dave),
I LUV TEXAS > I'll meet you at you McDonalds, and bring you up to where everyone is waiting.
Trad (Todor) > See you there - same as last time!
AlanW> See you there too, buddy
Naomi> " " " " " !

That's 12 people definitely at Shinjuku.

This is for the "unconfirmed" people:

Sora >どこで集合するの?10時に環八通りと青梅街道(R4)の角じゃ、どうですか?
Norihikoh,
tokyoscoop,
gmason (Greg),
Ayasechick > Can you send us a post to let us know where you'll be?

To the other guys on base:
B Winford,
Carizma,
E Hord...

If everyone turns up, there will be over 20 people!
Them's good numbers, and it should be a good day out for all!

Everyone, "Rubber-down!"
Travis

No work for me on Saturday:happy1:

I will meet you guys in Shinjuku at around 9am.

Sounds like a good day out. I'm looking forward to meeting you all again:D
