Thanks for the link. I'll get me a bag of zip ties at the 100yen shop, all ready for the next blizzard.

The video on that page surprised me more how many people were on bikes, in the snow. Cool.

I did a week's worth of riding in Aomori over the Christmas Holidays. I love riding in the snow. I use the Schwalbe 'Sammy's' or Challenge PDX tires. I have some studded Hakkapalita's , too. (And can order them for anyone if they want). The Sammy's work good and have a smooth center section so you can ride on regular roads without tearing down the tire too much. To enhance the traction on ice I use a razor and 'sipe' or cut the tire. This creates mini squeegees which grip quite well. Anyone who wants to go ride some rindos with me this winter, please let me know!

Doh, the zip ties won't play nice with the Deltas.

It would be great to play on the picturesc snow painted rindos, but I don't think the sammys will fit through the Deltas either, even if I slide them up the frame to the max. Are there any 25 or maybe 28mm tires good for snow?
