I'll be in Tokyo next week and I'm looking for vintage steel shops, from the ones carrying high-end campy stuff to the ones where I can buy hard to find Suntour and Dia Compe odds and ends, such as the Gran Compe canti brakes. To that effect:
So far I found Hasegawa Jitensha Shōkai (lots of old stuff), Kalavinka (whose waiting list will save me from doing something stupid), Toei, Kiyo Miyazawa shop, and across the road from that last one Ota bicycles.
- What's your favorite must-see vintage shop, and where is it located? I'll be coming from the north so if you know of a good place in Sendai that would work too.
- Does anybody know where the Honjo fender folks hid their factory? I have been trying to google them up for over an hour without any luck.
- Are there any bike races going on next week? My daughter would like to see one.
