Velogames TdF 2016

GC contenders are finishing pretty low down on the mountain stages, robbing us of those sweet placing points. I guess because none of the GC teams are strong enough to pressure Sky on the flat/early parts, so we end up with 10 minute breaks on every mountain day. Should be getting some decent points on today's uphill TT at least.

Hohooo good thing I didn't pick any GC contenders. Or any real sprinters. Or any breakaway specialists under 46.

EDIT: OH YEAH OR TT GUYS EITHER.

Looking at your team I think you might have this one in the bag. Or @theBlob's boys will suddenly spark into life and we'll all suffer under their enormous names.

I massively did this last minute based on (mostly) 'British' riders (inverted commas used for obvious reasons) but also a couple of people I liked. Read a really good interview with Bardet from a couple of years ago and he seems a good chap plus...Eddy B had to be in there.

Cav was a lucky addition for me in a way as I had no expectations for him to win anything this tour (I hadn't expected Kittel to be such a wet 'un).

Anyhow, beginners luck so far!

Another 1 and 2 for my boys last night! Good for me I picked a team of specialist time trialists! Now if only we can have some more TT stages!

Shocked! Beginners luck at its very strongest.

I shall come last next time I'm sure.

Next to last. Not even the pride of taking the lanterne rouge. La nausée.

I've been pondering another challenge/gimmick: try to spend all 100 credits on the lowest scoring team possible. You'd have to go for guys who you figure are going to underperform or drop out. Maybe one for the Vuelta?

Personally once the Tour's over I'm looking forward to Lombardia. I love that race.

Congrats @xDOMx - you lucky son of a gun. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the tour with a team to keep an eye on, it made the whole experience more interesting and I reckon I'll give it another go come Vuelta time. Thanks for playing boys!

Nice one @xDOMx

I got lucky with Bardet and Alaphillipe pulling through and of course, you can't go wrong with Sagan.
