I am planning to use an old set of wheels to get into more rindo (gravel) riding on my road bike. Does anyone have any tyre recommendations? Was thinking Panaracer Gravel Kings in 26c as I don't think my bike can take 28c tyres. However, they seem to get mixed reactions on Wiggle. Any gravel riders care to comment? Apologies if this question has been asked before. Cheers!

Japanese reviews for them are all good. It reads like the people complaining about cuts might be running them at lower than recommended pressures. I've used Panasonic Cross Blasters on my cross bike for years with no complaints. Conti 4seasons on my road bike, again no complaints. Lots of reviews are more about user error than the products themselves.

I have had a Gravel King on the rear of my fixie for the last 500 km or so. No problems. It replaced a Panaracer Pasela which was also fine. Both very durable; no horrible crashes. Didn't notice any specific performance difference on gravel.
