I've had a week off due to an ongoing battle with a cold and rain of course. So it was great to get out today. In the week off I bought some bolt on TT bars used them for the first time today. Really nice to ride with them although using them really activates some different muscles. Also kind of hard on the neck which is definately a weak point of my anatomy. I think I need to work more on my core and stretching to get the most out of them.
All that aside, once I got settled in the position it was much nicer to ride using them than not. Having free fingers is really nice for some reason. Makes me wish for a DI2 set up though, or at least the ability to change gears while using the bars.
I wonder if there is any quick release set up that could be employed and removed easily for the weekend mountain runs?
