I'm moving tokyo soon, I like doing the odd triathlon(I'm not obsessive, yet).

Are there any nice fast ones in or around Tokyo at the start of next season.

Looking for something Olympic distance or half-ironman.

I've looked on sportsentry, but it appears to be too early yet.

Well you have the ITU Worlds held in Yokohama that's Olympic distance but that's the only one I know of as I have no interest in the sport..... there are a few members here that are crazy enough to do them though and I'm sure they will post here soon.

This is a good starting point for olympic distance: http://www.jtu.or.jp/eng/2013/
Unfortunately, the Japanese season is closed, with the last race scheduled in Murakami on the 29th.

For the 70.3 or IM you can refer to the global website. There is a good IM in September in Hokkaido.

Plus, there are several sprints and other races published on various Japanese-only websites, such as this one: http://info.mspo.jp/

Too late to enter any races this year, the season is nearly done. But some of the big races in 2014 will open up for lottery entries soon. It is difficult to get into many races now, there is also a "tri boom" happening in Japan.

There is a Google Group called "Triathlon In Tokyo" (or TiT) that has wealth of info about triathlon in Japan. PM your email address and I can add you to the group.
