It was my 3rd time to climb this hill and it felt like a breakthrough today. First time was with Joe on the 20th this month.
I have noticed that my riding seems to improve in steps sometimes. Today felt very different from the other 2 times I climbed this hill.
I somehow felt more in control, HR responded like expected, legs worked fine all the way. I managed to cut 22minutes from my previous time
Congratulations, Andreas! That is great! Sounds like you're hooked on climbing now
As I mentioned here two days ago, the TnM experience seems to have helped on one of my most frequent climbs on R246, where I'm now only 5 seconds behind my son on his carbon bike with his 33 year younger legs.
I have 50kms from my house to the start of the climb. Maybe I should take the train out to start the climb with fresh legs next time?
It all depends what you're after, better numbers or more achievement... Now, if you were to skip the ride out by bike in order to do two climbs in a row, that would be a whole different matter :climb01:
Skipping the ride out also makes sense if you have other places to go to afterwards, but I wouldn't do it just to get higher into the Strava high score.
