If anybody wants to join I fancy a quick out tomorrow morning nothing heavy and a fairly late start aiming for say 9am at Takao and to be back in Tokyo for maybe 2/3pm. I was thinking of doing this loop or something similar -maybe cut it short and ride to Oume rather back to Takao but roughly this. http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/47969296

That's a good bit of climbing. Did you end up doing this course? I would have joined if I hadn't been doing Fuji.

Hey Dave, I did Tomin no Mori but missed out Nokogiri in the end, think I was a little optimistic trying to fit all that climbing into 5 hours. Next time ! Sounds like you did a spot of climbing yourself :) ..

Nokogiri is nice but serious climb from either side, but unfortunately neither side is particularly descending friendly, too much debris and occasional broken road surface. Here is my ride from Saturday: http://ridewithgps.com/trips/652704. The north climb is about 6.8km long, climbing almost exactly 600m with an average grade of 8.6%.
