Sorry for the very short notice, but to celebrate @Musashi13 release from prison me, @leicaman will try to escort him to Hana cafe and have our first Sadamine Pizza of the year.

If anyone is interested in tagging along we will start late, 9am from the spaceship.

The prison workout has been good

You better have big-ringed Sadamine with all this talk of being newly hench.

Nice outing yesterday with Darragh and Tobias. It's been far too long since we rode with Darragh so it was nice to get out there with him. Having read @andyintokyo 's post the day before, I thought bib shorts would be a good idea. 30 minutes into the ride and battling a headwind with my garmin showing 3.4c, I began to question my choice of clothes. To make matters worse, it then began to rain. Luckily it was only a few drops. We got to the family mart, where we bought anything and everything that was hot. My teeth were chattering and I was questioning whether heading into the mountains would be a good idea. I did some push-up in the car park to keep warm. Once in the road again, the sun finally shone through the clouds. I began to feel the blood flowing again. For most of the rest of the day, the sun would grace us with its presence. And what a difference it made, too.
We decided to ride around towards Ogawamachi (skipping Shiraishi) then ride up Sadamine to Hana cafe (Aka The pizza place). They have done a bit of decorating since last year and the place looks pretty nice. Most importantly, they had a good stock of cinnamon rolls. After stuffing our faces (or mainly my face) we rode up Sadamine and up to Shiraishi. The road had a barrier loosely placed across the road with a sign saying there had been some rockfall. We rode around the barrier and up to the top of Shiraishi. The road was clear of snow and ice but there were a few sections with a pile of debris at the side of the road. The road is 99.9% the same as usual.
On the way down Shiraishi @saibot demonstrated to us why those stupid grooves sometimes cut into the road are a pain in the arse for cyclists, by performing a death-defying trick on a very steep hairpin. Very impressive show. From there we headed back to Sakado station . Darragh promptly bought two cans of beer and downed them on the train home while I sat there, sipping on my chocolate milk, like a five year old. Great day with great company. Cheers guys.

Great to hear that the usual routes are opening up for a 2015 deflowering. I almost sacked off all the stuff I had to do yesterday as it's not often I get to ride with @Musashi13, but ended up getting up just a bit too late. I'll catch you next time, Gadget.

Oh and good selfies, as always.

Yer great big jessie. When I were a lad we used to cycle through winter in nowt but a string vest and y-fronts, and we were considered overdressed: Malcolm Thwaite from down colliery end used to go out with just a page from the Sheffield Star wrapped round his sausage and pickled eggs. He won the 1984 Milk Race wearing the quoits results page.

god stuff yesterday, great to be out in shorts finally, wasn't cold even a tiny bit!

Prison has done him good.

I wonder if @The Raven needs to visit this thread.

I have not confirmed this yet, but rumour has it that he has got himself tangled up in a messy Anonymous vs. ISIS Photoshopping media tussle, which he is trying to black&white high contrast his way out of. Will supply more info as I find out myself.

I liked the abstract aspect of the first vid (haven't watched the 2nd yet)! By the way, what are those blue things on the calves of your mate with the orange jersey?

Couple of videos from the day

Nice!

just need to crank up the brightness a few stops there.
Do they come out of the camera that dark?
I had that problem on my old Gopro, when I had mounted the camera upside down, the default light metering mode seem to be focused towards the lower part of the frame where the action usually happens, when turned upside down without adjusting the metering mode (upside-down mode) the camera set the brightness according the the bright sky and thus made everything else really dark. Sorry for the +alpha. Maybe it's just you artsy filters that darkens them?

2nd vid: Very nice. Is that bloke in the blue jersey's name, 'Willy Wonka Wobbler' in honor of his climbing style???:tup

@Heath The orange guy is @leicaman and the blue guy is @saibot

@saibot I think it's the filters on that app that do it. The original isn't bad at all (just looked side by side). I like that app but they don't give an awful lot of control to the user.
