Sad story...glad it wasn't a story about that other Jason Mc the singer though...that would've been bad...

hard to see what a better punishment would fit the crime, they was no pre conceived intent. Seems like a genuine accident and if the rider wasn't a national champion and had been instead a school boy on a bike we would probably just say " what a tragic accident". sad but accidents do happen.
