Yesterday, Google Adsense informed us of a Publisher Policy Violation here on the TCC website (reason: Shocking Content) without specifying the nature of the shocking content or the page affected. I wasn't able to find anything shocking apart from a picture of a parrot destroying a carbon wheel.

Any ideas?

Beats me. I'm a pretty regular reader of the forum and haven't noticed anything that could be remotely considered objectionable.

Google is pretty good at making mistakes, and some people report sites/pages maliciously (just as they do with Strava rides). If you have the option to request a manual assessment, I suggest you do so.

Thanks, Mike, that's what I did. I remember that on JREF, they once considered a thread about "food porn" of sexual nature. Also, beheadings seem acceptable, while [gaaasp] a human nipple isn't.

Thought you probably would. The only thing I can think of is that way way back someone - possibly me - posted that famous photo of the Colombia Women's Cycle Team uniform. Just a very odd choice of design/colour. I won't post it here in case it adds fuel to the fire.

@thomas please do let us know of any developments. I'm unnaturally curious...

Absolutely, but I don't know how long it will take Google to look into the issue. This is nothing unusual, on JREF we get complaints every month; however, "shocking content" on TCC, that's unprecedented.

pffft I opened the thread looking forward to some at least mildly shocking content only to read this....

a bit shocked I can't upload a 6.5 MB mp4 video as "the file is too large".... really?!

Yes, really. We had an upload limit of 4MB. I have increased it to 8 36MB. Next time, please contact me directly or start a new thread, I've just found this now.

It seems this was just a Google glitch. Our manual review request took care of the issue.

Well this is scary, wouldn't you expect the "S" word to trigger something?
If anything, I expect "The company" to hit you with a lawsuit just for allowing us to say their company name....
