I'm heading back to Virginia for a few months and want to ship my bike back so I have it to use. Anyone know the best/most economical way to do this? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Probably the cheapest/easiest is taking it on the plane with you as oversized luggage--charge varies by airline; I paid 90$CAN to Air Canada two years ago for a Toronto to Tokyo flight.
Recently shipped a frameset back to the States (returning to store), and had a hard time finding some way to ship it. Eventually went with the post office EMS for about 10,000 yen, but I had to squashed the box down at the sides to get it to fit into their size limits. A whole bike might be harder, depending on size.
