I'm planning on riding from Takao at 8 am this Saturday because the routes out of town have me nodding off with boredom (and intersection frustration) and we know how dangerous that is.

My goal is to get more threshold work in so there are two major options:

1. Takao - Yabitsu Pass - 55 miles 6,000 ft, or
2. Takao - Wada - Kanogawa - 59 miles, 10,000 ft

I know, I know, there could be snow. I'm willing to check on conditions anyway. I'm very flexible with adapting the route.

I don't think it will be killer fast because I am just starting to get back on the bike but won't be dawdling either. It would be nice to have some company for a change.

Cheers,
Tristan

Off the top of my head:

55 miles is about 477.632 534 21 cable or 193 600.387 2 cubit or 439.999 999 99 furlong or 885 140 970.29 hair's breadths or 88.5 km
6,000 ft is about 0.003 472 245 236 1 leagues or 1.7731698668e-15 light years or 0.009 240 436 556 1 Scots miles or 1,773 meters - all British units you should be initmately familiar with ;)

10000 ft of climbing??? That's over 3000m. Is that actual metres or Strava metres?

MapMyRide meters. Please don't ask me to convert it. Results may vary.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, mapmyrides usually over quotes by around double so I'm guessing the actual elevation gain will be about 5000ft (1500m). Pretty good for 100km of riding.
