Hello bikers

Saturday night is Fireworks Night. Before that...

Saturday 10th August - Izu Dancing

Harry and Ira are going exploring. Others welcome to join but must get up early!
Meet before at 8:00 a.m. (* note early start *) at either Numazu or Mishima station. We start at 8:00 am and you must text me to let me know you are going and what station you will be at. Ride south from Numazu and take Route 17 all along the Izu North West Coast. First break is at Heda and then we ride to Toi for our second break. From Toi we ride to Route 18 to Shuzenji for a break. From Shuzenji we ride for the trains, either at Ito, Atami or back to Mishima. (Hopefully we can make it back for the fireworks in Tokyo.)
Total 110 - 125 km. Lots of hills. Slow to Medium pace. Slow up the hills, medium on the down hills.
Leader: Ira Stevens o8o-5673-9o42 (call or send text to here)

And then...

Saturday 10th August - Tokyo Bay Fireworks

Meet up at 4 p.m. in front of the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi Hills.
15 km each way. Beginner pace or slower because of all the pedestrians and closed roads. We'll stop at a store to get beer and snacks. Bring something to sit on if you don't want to sit on the concrete and tile floor. (Or you can stand.) Our viewing spot on the Promenade is not the closest to the explosives, but there will be plenty of space for us and the bikes. Should be great fun.

No rides planned for Sunday, yet. If you want to lead a ride, shout up!

Looking ahead:

Saturday 17th August - Tamagawa Fireworks (Ira has plans!)
Thursday 12th September - bike night at the Pink Cow (change to usual schedule)

That's all for now, folks. Keep the rubber side down!
