Hello,

so, this is my proposal for tomorrow. Around 200km from Ebisu via Wada to Yabitsu, then back to Takao station. Early bail out option would be Hadano, for example.

Start point: Ebisu station (the South West exit)
Start time: 7:35am
Total distance: 200km (early bail outs available)
Total climbing: I guess around 2,000 - 2,200m

It should be the warmest day this week, so I hope we won't have black ice issues.

Cheers,
Norm

There was ice on the road last weekend where your route crosses the river at 86 km. The road there probably never sees the sun at this time of year so it could be better further along, though I turned back at the time. Cleat covers would be a good idea, and an alternative route from that point just in case.

Thanks, Grant. Noted. I also expect some ice up the North side of Wada.

"The day I ride up Wada without suffering, I'll know I have transcended my miserable human existence and become some higher being..."

- Wada North side hurts
- No ice on roads at all
- Yabitsu is open again (they completed fixing the land slide area)

By Wada North, do you mean Wada East (Hachioji side) as opposed to Wada West (Uenohara side)? ;)

The east side is much harder then the west side. I have climbed the west side without dropping into my lowest gear, but could never imagine that on the east side.
