Weather changeable but looking up for Saturday, so we'll continue our mobile blossom-viewing with a shorter version of our Arakawa ride, taking in the Tokyo University campus on the way out, and Sendai-horikawa park canals on the way back. The distance for this intermediate-level ride is about 50km.
We'll start at the Grand Hyatt at 11:00 and get to Oshima Kamatsugawa park at about 1:00. (It's at about kilometer post 4.)
There's a supermarket nearby where we can pick up most all we need. Of course you can prepare a dish to share if you wish. I bring chocolate. Ground cloths would be a good idea. Back by 5:00 at the latest. This is a wondrous ride, and the route back along the cherry-tree lined canals is breathtaking.
