Hi Tokyo Cycling Enthusiasts,
I am new in Town and just moved from Germany to the South of Tokyo (around Denenchofu area). Do you have Any good recommendations about routes starting in my area? I would be also very Interested in Group rides at the Weekends.
Thank you very much!
Best
Dennis

Wilkommen Dennis! I live near that area too. The Tama hills routes that @stu_kawagoe linked are nice for a shorter ride, for a longer route if you continue west following the Tama river path for ~30km , you will be in mountain/rindo territory. There are some classic routes here for starters: https://tokyocycle.com/threads/sunday-april-28th-mason-bokeh-maiden-voyage-tomin-no-mori.8146/ , https://tokyocycle.com/threads/doublemint-twins-wada-takao-sunday-march-31st.8114/ and have RideWithGPS links.

If you get bored starting on the Tama, follow the tips on https://tokyocycle.com/threads/bike-bag-rinkō-bukuro-輪行袋-top-tips.8075/ to get your bike on the train.

And check the rides section a few days before the weekend, I may post something this week.

Hi Dennis,
willkommen!
On my Strava profile (Sven Graeble) you can find some routes starting from Denenchofu (longer and shorter ones).
I'm also new in this forum and will try to join the Tuesday Morning Trainings, if times permits ...
Cheers,
Sven

Hi everyone,
thank you very much for all your replies and for your great help. I love the idea of the Tuesday morning training and will definitely try to join...
@Sven, you have a new follower on Strava. I will check your routes to get some inspiration and will hopefully be able to try one of those this weekend.
Cheers
Dennis
