Very excited that I am returning to Tokyo in a couple of weeks, too early for ski season so I thought it would be fun to try and get out for a decent ride.

I am keen cyclist in the UK, both roadie and XC but would rather not bring a bike all that way, although that I guess that may be an option.

Any advice on hiring a decent bike, decent routes in the country with some hills or even people to hook and ride with would be greatfully received.

Failing that I was thinking about trying to find a Keirin race.

Welcome to TCC!

I can't help you out about renting a bike (doesn't seem to be done much here), but I'd be happy to let you know about some good routes or take you into the hills around Tokyo. Do you enjoy climbing?

When will you be visiting?

Deej

P.S. As for getting a bike, if you post your measurements, perhaps a TCCer has an extra bike they could lend you.

Hi there,

I arrive on the 24th Nov, and staying for the week. Currently planning to depart on Sun 29th so was hoping to ride on Saturday 28th Nov.

Yes I enjoy climbing.

I am just under 5'10" (1.77m) and ride a 52in Pearson.
