Hi,

my name is Leif. I will make an intership in Tokyo. It starts in September and ends in march. I'm a quite good race cyclist and don't want to lose all, so I'm actually searching for places where you can train. Maybe a regular team or a good gym with spinning bikes or "racing maschines"(maybe it's called different).

Does anybody of you know such places?

I would be very happy, if anybody of you could help me.

Best Regards

Leif

Y`s Bike Academy

in Akasaka has a spinning club on the 5th floor. I don`t know much about it beyond that.

If you want a general sports club that also has spinning machines Konami sports club has these at both the gyms I use (Ogikubo and Shinsen (Shibuya)).

This is a list of Konami gyms in Tokyo:

They are normally in the fitness room where people do dancing and things as they are generally used for classes. I just use them anyway quite freely, except when there is a class on.

This is Japan not Germany, from September till May you are facing perfect outside training conditions. Temperatures fine, weather blue sky. There is no excuse. From my point of view it is easier to stay in shape in winter than in the hot and humid summer. Tracks I mostly do along the Tama river but just joined this forum in order to get more and better ideas.
