What's new

NOKOGIRIYAMA

Jules, I climbed there last month and it was ok, but I don't know what it's like now after last week's heavy rain and thunderstorm.

Eugen, Pete. Thanks again.

nice climb. head out in the evening. great holiday vibe at the bottom. bbq's and reggae, filled the water bottles at the waterfall by the tunnel. arrived at the top on dark fall. stashed the bike and climbed up top of nokogiriyama. pitched the tent. fab night out under rustling pines. a short while later a very nice dude arrived to pitch a bivvy tarp. we lit a fire, shared beer and food. the dude told me about frozen volcanic caving to be had around fuji. super nice morning descent. road not too bad. typical rindo. met Deej and Clay at okutama stn, went running in fields of alpine flowers.

Yeah, I have no idea what those links are?

Probably copied from inside a Gmail account, so they can't be seen unless you know the gmail address and password ;)

I like Picasa for image hosting. It shares space with the Gmail account and images don't count towards the limit > 7 GB space limit as long as they are uploaded with the default shrinking to 3 Mpx (2Kx1.5K).

Malte. it was a very cool trip. nice to be out in the hills w no pressure to head home. late summer sun dipping. I'll drop some photos into the gallery. none of which feature cycling. been doing a lot of trail running lately, using the bike to get out there and then going for a blast. good leg farming. but yeahrs.. picking up the thread, NOKOGIRI IS GO! lovely climb. dodgy crumbly bits around the grates on the okutama descent side. but nothing a rindo wouldn't usually throw at you. Pete was spot on.
