Ride Nasu Kogen Longride 2018

I had a friend drop out in case someone wants to make a very late entry.

Anyone else doing this?
Not me. ¥9000 yen to go on a bike ride on open roads? Maybe once I've finished paying for the kid's education.

I may copy their course at some point, though. It looks pretty.

True, it was fairly expensive, but it's so popular that it fills up in less than an hour (something like 2700 slots for all of the courses).

The event had so many damned aid stations that I actually started to get annoyed as to how many aid stations there were. Too many, arguably.

They also had both of Tochigi's UCI Continential mens teams riding, plus one women's team. I drafted off Blitzen's director for a while. Haha.

This course is pretty remote and there aren't many combinis so I would recommend it as a supported ride unless you are hard-legged mother lover.

I am...tired. It was pretty epic.

Nice one @baribari . Did you take any photos? You had great weather.

Not really. I'm not much of a shutterbug. We were expecting either rain or extreme heat. Thankfully we only got a little rain, which helped keep the day fairly cool until the afternoon, when it was just warm.
