Official Ride Mt. Fuji International Hill Climb Race 2007 (19th TCC Tour)

Hi everyone,

TCC shall challenge "Mt. Fuji International Hill Climb", of course this year, too.:p
It is 11.4km long and about 1200m difference of altitude.
(average is over 10% and maximam is 22%)

It will be held on Oct. 6th and 7th.
- Oct. 6th(Sat.) - applicaton
- Oct. 7th(Sun.) - Hill climb race and move to Yamanako

There some notice:
1. helmet and gloves are needed.
2. you can go Gotenba by train (rinko)
3. Entry fee: 6,000 yen
4. Accomodation fee: about 8,000 yen for one night (Maybe, now I am checking.)
5. transportation expenses: about 2,500 yen (from Shinjuku)

特記事項として
１．ヘルメットとグローブが必要です。
２．御殿場までは輪行できます。
３．参加費は6,000円です。
４．宿泊費は一泊8,000円程度です。（確認中）
５．交通費は新宿からで約2,500円です。

If I can get the time off, Im in.
Will have to diet for a month or so, difficullt to drag thoses extra kilos up a 22%
gradient.
Sora, you can put me down as, IN.
Question without notice, who will cart the beer to the top of hill.

Sora-San,

I'm in for this one, I vowed to do Fuji at least once before my time in Japan comes to an end in November so this is a must do. If I can take advantage of the offer to do the entry that would be a big help, let me know what details you need.

I'll take this opportunity to apologise for not being with you all on 7th for the Tokyo-Fuji-Tokyo ride. Work unfortunately took priority and a temporary isolation from the web (there are still places in the world without internet access) prevented me letting you know that I wouldn't be able to join you as planned.

thanks for the assist - as a former mountain goat (getting a tad old now, but still love the ups) maybe I can offer a tow! ;) If you need it....maybe just settle for a couple of beers at the end of the day!

Sora san does not need a tow, he has that flask of EPO lashed to the front of the bike...:D
 
A flatlander that might join!

I am moving to Tokyo mid August and despite being out of shape I would like to join.

Before I commit myself, though, kindly confirm that this race is also open for non elite bikers and that none of you guys will make fun of me if ... or rather when ... I have to get off the bike for a breather!
