Hey, I haven't actually met anyone yet, but I'll be living in Japan for a year starting in early June. I was in Tokyo over the summer last year too and rode my bike around the city and to Arakawa and up Mt. Fuji a bit. I'd really like to participate in the hillclimb. I'm on the collegiate team from Johns Hopkins.

How do I sign up?

thanks

Jake

Hello team,

I'm so interested in climbing up Mt. Fuji, yet 距離11.4km、標高差1200m (平均斜度10%以上、 最大は22%) feels much too tough!!!

Mmmmm:eek:uch: ... でも 応援だけ いこうかなぁ.. I'm thinking of rooting for you team from the sidewalk ..

Anyway, people who are going, GAMBARE!!

Cheers,
Juno

Unfortunately

The date June 15 is one week before my business trip. I have no reason not to sign up......:(:(:(

No show for Me

Thomas, Sora, Shinobu;

Unfortunately I will not be able to get back to Japan for the Fuji HC as I'll be on holiday with the boss (wife) on the day.

You'll be in my thoughts on the day whilst you tackle the "gentle" slopes of Fuji-san. I will raise a glass or two of 焼酎, Shōchū to toast your success.

Have a great weekend

Greg

I am very interested! But would like to agonize a bit before registering :)

*mumbling* still... 10%... i mean 10 is not 8 and not even 9 - it's 10... calls for some serious training

I'm a bit like Sergey on this and have some interest.

It's no real issue, but do you think it's possible to turn up on the day? I noticed it started at 8:30 in the morning so it could be enough to get there from Tokyo.

In Dublin ...

... during the day of the race, so unfortunately will not be able to join TCC for this one. I'm making a habit of this. Sounds like a great day! B

@ Sergey & Lee

I hope you two will reinforce the TCC team! Lee, I believe we need to check in on Saturday. Also, it is fun riding out to Subashiri along R246. :D

@ Arai-san & Ben

I'm sorry you can't make it. Perhaps next year. :)

i was in japan in march and rode some great rides in hokkaido but unfourtunately i will not be there for the fuji escapade and its killing me!!! mark my words though, its only a matter of time before fuji and i scrap it out. best of luck to everyone participating and i'm looking forward to the pics.

Thanks, for the credit Thomas! I am done with registration and eager for a training ride or two :)

In ...

Have just entered for this as well.
I will hopefully be on my new toy in time for this one so doubly looking forward.

Fuji here we come...

Thomas - I now realise that I cannot make the GranFondue at the end of June so it seems this will be the next real opportunity after Sado. If I am not completely finished off by that then I would like to challenge Fuji !

Count me in....

Just registered...

in the Seniors section

Unfortunately this is unisex so my goal this time is not only to win the gaijin old farts trophy but also to avoid being beaten by any over 60 year old mountain goat women:p

Now for the training....er....beer anyone ?
