Due to people not resizing their images, before uploading, and posting huge, bandwidth and screen smashing files with abandon, there is now a limit on the size an image can be.

The limit is 1000 pixels wide. There is no limit on height.

So, resize your images to 1000 pixels before uploading or your upload won't work

If you don't know how to do this, info can be found here...

This was needed.

I've been using an App called "SimpleResize" on my iPhone. If there are better around let me know..this one seems good enough, though.

Not sure what the best phone app is. Let us know what that one it like. If it cool, then we can recommend it.

Big up.

+1 for SimpleResize

OK, SimpleResize looks good.

To match this app best to the site, I have tuned the size restriction to match one of the presets in the app.

The new maximum width size is now 1024 pixels. This is very fast to do in SimpleResize.

If anyone has any issues with SimpleResize, please let us know here. For now though, this is the new standard.

Nice one.

What's the back end to TCC? If Unix like, a bit of glueing to ImageMagick could do the resize and other image manipulation. (No. I'm not volunteering.)
