K-Day is getting closer, only seven more days to the big race in Kusatsu! A great deal of time, effort and training has been put into it, but let's face it: the race will be over next Sunday around noon. It would be - in my humble opinion - a terrible waste not to seize the opportunity and have some more fun in the mountains of Gunma. Last year Travis, Aaron and I decided to explore R406 which turned out to be one of the speediest and most exciting descents we have ever experienced in Japan. Thanks again, Aaron, for another TCC lunacy!

I have mapped the course, it is just 61km from Kusatsu to the shinkansen station in Annaka-Haruna

Time-wise?

Sounds real attractive Thomas! Just a bit worried about return time to Tokyo... by what time would you reckon we could be back "home"?

Tom, it depends on how soon we can leave from Kusatsu. We could skip the "tombola" and the race results and head off as soon as we are back to the village and have refreshed. I believe we should be able to tackle the route in 2,5 to 3 hours.

There are shinkansen from Annaka-Haruna at

- 17:03 (Asama No.538, Tokyo 18:12)
- 18:15 (Asama No.542, 19:16)
- 19:19 (Asama No.546, 20:20)

It's really worth it.
