I am planing to buy a road bike in Japan, maybe a Trek...
is it easy enough to buy a bike in Tokyo,
i.e. rather than buy one before I leave here?
I did notice on the Trek web site that they don't have the bigger sizes,
but I'm only 5'10'' (178cm) tall, so I guess I'll be ok...
I may call into a bike shop here just check my bike size.
looking foward to riding with you and others in the near future!

Hi Simon,

any frame sizes under 60 or 58 are easily available in Tokyo. Since you are going to live in Hachioji, check out the following thread about bike stores.
