Does anyone know if it's possible to power a Kickr from the cigarette lighter in a car? I'm planning on joining a race or two this fall.
Based on the experience in my previous race I realize that I really really need to do a warm-up. I love my Kickr but it kinda needs electricity.
Any portable power option come to mind?

take a look at the kickr power block and take a note of the the output. If the output matches what your car charger can put out, then theoretically, it can work from a car.

The tacx neo and flux do advertise that they can work without power.

I get the feeling the unit will have enough resistance for just a warmup even unplugged. IIRC smart trainers don't actually use that much electricity, even at high wattages.
You'll need to plug it in to do an opener, though.

I was hoping this as well - but nope, it barely gets to 60-70 watts before I spin out. Just not enough resistance for anything remotely resembling a proper warmup.
