Sorry, I was meaning a patch.Is a pad a patch?
Thanks. Good to know there is always a way to get out of a puncture trouble

A Clif Bar wrapper folded over a few times....What's a tire "boot"?
I have see a few different road side hack of tire boots to help keep the tube in place with a cut tire, "Bar" wrapper, "paper bills" IE 1000 yen note the Australian would on the good one.A Clif Bar wrapper folded over a few times....
Not sure if that would have prevented it, but I keep my spare tubes in a plastic bag so there is always at least one layer between the rubber of the tube and whatever might harm it when it's in my front bag.I haven't had any flat for at least more than 12000km and for some reason, this spare tube always with me, not really protected, in my cycling bag or other bags, must have been previously in contact with some sharp objects.
