I'm staying put for the holidays though I intend to do some day rides.
I assume, going out of Tokyo might be chaotic. Going back to Tokyo might be more manageable.

I'm not accustomed to Japanese driving habits. Are they likely to take to take the long scenic routes (ie they'll take the coastal roads)? Any tips on which roads/routes not to take during holidays (GW, obon, or any other holiday)? Or best places to ride to?

TIA

I don't face much of a rush--from the TV to the fridge (beer) is only a couple seconds. The mother-in-law is only about 5 minutes away by car, maybe ten by bike, and 20 or so on foot.

But the weekend wx is looking great all the way thru Wednesday. Good scheduling there. I'll be rushing out to ride, pretty much every day.

Thanks Directeur.

Here's my own report. The river paths (Tamagawa) seems to more crowded than R20 (via 府中四谷橋) today. Many people out on their bikes, and the usual moving road furnitures along Tamagawa.
