Although I'm in no state to ride fast at the moment... I used to love letting potential wheel suckers come up to me from behind while watching them approach in my little mirror...
Like reeling in a marlin....let them think they're about to get your wheel then draw away and put in a bit of hurt...then do it again and again... For those who were stronger than me...slow down and force them to pass..let them think you were dead....then come back at him a few kms down the river and do a Cancelara and drive off into the distance....

I'd have a heart attack trying any of that in my current state...

Sounds like fun. Catch a likely MAMIL on your wheel and gradually turn up the pace, measuring your speed by the degree of grimace in their face. Must be how leicaman and Mlac Peek feel every time they ride in a group.

Juan is a lovely chap so it couldn't have been him.
Apparently he won the tour of Korea.... although no record of him winning it has ever been found.

Ha, expat living in Japan in 'turning out to be full of crap' shocker.
Sorry to say that there is quite a few of those around - I seems that once they move the 9000kms east then they suddenly become a different person - It also happened to me in the office in Yoyogi with a Belgium chap (nothing to do with cycling) but his idea of work was to delicate downwards and then look a porn all day!!!!!

Last time I visited the immigration bureau it was packed to the rafters with DJ-writer-photographers. The government has even had to make a new visa category for them: "Self-Facilitating Media Node".
