Four rides this weekend. Weather forecast: Mostly sunny both days, Saturday 21 degrees, Sunday 22. But remember the weather service lies to us all the time.

Sat Beginners' 30km Haneda led by Don Morton

Saturday, let's do a beginners' ride out to Jonan Jima, a little seaside park out Haneda way. A 30km, slow and easy confidence-builder. Start at the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi Hills at 11:00 a.m., back by 2:30 at the latest.​

Sat "Three Rivers and a Food One" led by Ira Stevens

Meet at 8:00 a.m. (* note early start *) at Higashi Tamagawa Park near Futago-tamagawa station.

We'll ride up the Tamagawa River for about 20 km to Yotsuya-bashi (near Y's Fuchu): Cross the bridge and ride the Asakawa River for about 10 km until Kitano station: Then we will ride the Yudonogawa River for about 10 km: Take a break at Food ONE: and head home as we ride 32 km back down the Three Rivers to Tokyo. Back before 2pm.

Total 70 km - 75 km. Easy to Medium pace. No big hills. A great way to go a little farther and a little faster.

Sun 75 km Arakawa Loop led by Don Morton

And Sunday, we'll stretch it out with an Arakawa loop. 70 km or so, depending on which riffs we add on. Three beer breaks. Start at the Hyatt at 11. Back by around 5:00 (bring bike lights). This one of our favorite rides. Route: Imperial Palace, Ochanomizu, Ueno Park, Yanaka, The Mighty Arakawa, Kasai Rinkai seaside park, "Dinosaur" bridge, Odaiba, and back to Roppongi.​

Sun UP and DOWN the TAMAGAWA led by Ira Stevens

This is actually two rides with the same meeting point. Meet at 8:00 am (for the early risers) and 11 am (for you others). A great way to learn some rides on the Tamagawa River.

Eight AM Start
We'll ride UP the Tamagawa River for about 22 km and then head home back to the starting point to take a break. Back by 10:30 a.m.

Total 45 km. Easy pace. No hills. A great way to go a little farther and a little faster.

Eleven AM Start
We'll ride DOWN the Tamagawa River for about 20 km to the source and then head home back to the starting point. Back by 1 pm.

Total 38 - 45 km. Easy pace. No hills. A great way to go a little farther and a little faster.
