Greetings from Shinjuku.

My Name is Stu, I'm a Canadian who has been living in Tokyo for 20+ years.
I'm married to a wonderful Japanese gal, and we have two teenaged daughters
We run my wife's family business, a liquor shop.

I have my old friend a 1988 Cannondale SM500 MTB that I bought new in Vancouver all those years ago, it has been my constant companion since. I did neglect it for about 10 years, but I have recently completely restored it and I am using it daily again.. I also built a trailer for it do to my liquor shop deliveries around the area. I'm getting my fat arse in shape again, I've dropped 46 pounds so far, but I've got a fair bit more to go. but I'm working on it.

In September I rode down to Zushi on night, that was a good long ride and even though I was sore for a few days after it, it reignited my want for some touring. The next bike I will buy will be a touring bike, maybe early next year.

Cheers!

Stu

Welcome,

We should be able to open up a Shinjuku chapter with all the TCC riders in this area.

I think you could solve all our drinking needs with that cargo setup. What do you call it - "Fire-truck"? Bring the water!

Hi there Stu, glad to see you found your way to TCC. Hows the paint holding p on the Frame and trailor? Thoght of you yesterday when I read someone looking for an Aluminum Fabricator. Serendipity perhaps. Welcome aboard. Bet you end up buying a road bike, or making one, there is a bike building workshop offered down there in Tokyo.

Thanks for the welcome!

Is there really a bike building workshop?

I would be interested in taking one if I could :)
