Does anyone have any experience or recommendations for GPS trackers that can be viewed online in real time by other people? I'd need something that would be independent of a phone and usable in a few countries.

My mad friend used one on her round-the-world adventure by bike, kayak and rowboat.

It will work anywhere in the world when you're outside. Transmits your GPS position back to the server via the Iridium satellite network. Not exactly cheap to operate, but you directly control the cost by adjusting the frequency of transmissions. The closest to 'real time' is once every five seconds, but that would get very expensive very quickly. Can send short messages, too.

Bon voyage!

Something like this could triple my cycling options at work so it's a cost worth considering! Thanks.
