I just purchased a Go Pro HD 1080p helmet camera. Has anybody used one or has one? Is it "hot" or "not"?

I have one and it is great. I have used it to record trackdays on the motorcycle.
These type of cameras are a bit sensitive to vibration due to how they collect the data from the sensor. The 60fps mode greatly reduces this effect that shows up as a "wavy" picture.
A couple of my videos:

I didn't have the problems rommelgc mentions with the chest strap.
I never even thought of mounting it the 'right' way up. It seemed designed to be upside-down on the chest mount and that's why they (finally!) included an upside-down function in the firmware.Their solution was to mount the camera upside down
A little late for product research is it not? CPD ? (Compulsive Purchase Disorder) I'm also in the market for a camera but I found this one a little to big to use when racing.
I was looking at this one: http://contour.com/camera/contour_hd
That'll be a Drift HD170. Cute.Wow this thing
Did you have the camera mounted the right way up? You can get a better angle if you mount it upside-down and then use the camera's upside down function to flip the video capture around. (Might require a firmware update, depending on when/where you bought it.)Sorry about that, Mike, I assume you know a good chiropractor around here. I"ll experiment with the helmet mount next time.
