Here's what happens when too many "good ideas" come together.....Naomi's plan for a weekend training for the Fuji International Hillclimb combined with too much staring at the Fuji area map by me.
Neither of us had ridden the Azami line so a good start was to go and have a look. But.....the Subaru line is not so far away (I think you can see where this is going) and so the plan dveloped into "Let's ride to two of the 5th Stations the same day!" And so we did!

As this was a weekend of training, that still left the second day. What better than to hit Azami a second time? Off we went from Yamanakako once again. Once again, I did a special jersey selection :p

And here is the officially approved road upon which to wear it:

Soon we were at the base of Azami again, and I can say for sure, I was feeling the effects of Saturday's monster ride! But once again, we ground our way to the top of the hill:

Which left us only one way to go....DOWN!

Thanks to Naomi-san for taking the great pictures!

To be honest, that was very stupid idea to try two 5th stations the same day.... In fact, I could not move soon after, just because It was beyond my ability. One more, I had to admit that Azami Line is too hard for me.......

Wow, you guys weren't kidding around when you said you were going to do some Power training. Okay guys so the big question I have for you, is the Azami line basically just 2 mikuni's put together? Is it relentless or are there some sections to recover on?
