Depending on weather tomorrow, I intend to saddle-up after morning house-husband chores, and proceed to Sagami Bay via route 467, then along 134 checking out the beach sightseeing to as far as who knows.

Kamakura - Enoshima

Hi there. I live in Hiroo, Tokyo that is 25 Km away from Yokohama. I always wanted to ride to Kamakura and Enoshima from Tokyo. Would you let me know how the ride was and if you would like to do it again? From Yokohama to Enoshima is about 30Km. So the whole distance can be 110-120Km. Assuming that we pick the cooler days, I can handle it up to 150K. Or I can always take a train back home.

Ride Complete

Saddled up and hit the road on route 40 just before noon. I took the time to fix dinner prior to leaving as part of my house husband-dude daily routine - wasn`t sure what time I`d get home.

From route 40, I took route 45 then 467 until Enoshima. After about an hour of refreshments and sightseeing on Enoshima`s beach, I took the coastal route 134 as far as Yuigahama and did a bit of....sightseeing there as well. Then I biked back home along the same route non-stop.

The beaches were massively crowded today which added to their appeal..... lovely scenery. The coasts were pretty as well.

Returned just befor 5:00 - five hour trip with about 1.5-2 spent refreshing and enjoying the views. There are some nice beachbars at Enoshima and Yuigahama.:beer1:

Would love to do the ride again! As my schedule is rather flexible, just let me know what day you`d like to schedule a run. I recommend a day like today prior to the end of August! - but any day you can go should be fine.
