I'm heading to Honolulu next month and planning to bring the road bike for some scenic time in the saddle. I'm wondering whether anyone can recommend a bicycle friendly hotel (i.e., place to keep the bike, not awkward entering/leaving in full cycling kit, etc.). I've searched the posting and learned about the Honolulu Century Ride in September that is attended by about 2,000 Japanese visitors each year, so I'm guessing that there are practical lodging/storage arrangements. Any insights from the group would be helpful. Thanks.

I've ridden in Hawaii before. We stayed in a condo so no problems with keeping the bike inside etc.

On another note, if you've been in Japan for a while, you forget that not everywhere has convenience stores and vending machines. Best to stock up well before heading out.

Safe trip!

Thanks forth reply. I'm still sorting out the lodging and it seems it should be no problem. Thanks for the reminder about fueling up!
