CR vs CR

Traffic is all I know (kanagawa-ken), being a junior rider, I've had to take my long driving of a car in Japan & put that together with cycling..

What what what???? Kanagawa has some bloody great riding!

The only thing I can add - The Law of Gross Tonnage.

This is how I kept my cool in the states...
Whether it is city or country - if you tangle with a car, you lose.
Regardless of who is 'right'

City traffic is 'fun' from the standpoint of you need to always be alert.
You suggest five cars ahead, but really it is more than that. The cars ahead, the lights ahead, cross walks, etc etc...

Escape routes should be planned and routinely updated in your head. You need to be aware of the cars behind you as well (as stated). The main difference between City and Country riding for me is the mental 'interaction'

I am not training for anything and I work from home, so I just ride for fun. Sometimes I just want to play (city riding) and sometimes I want to just stretch out the legs and spin (country riding). I like both.

If there were mountain bike trails nearby... you may never catch me on either.
