Cornering Discussion -

Random video from 2 nights ago. There are some diminishing radius corners and double apex corners. Once I can verify there are no cars behind me, I rarely enter a corner on the "inside" lane.

Pretty impressive: very clean and it looked as if you weren't breaking a sweat. And you had great situational awareness from the looks of things, noticing that the second car at the traffic light wanted to turn right and you knew it was safe to pass them. :tup

I haven't even finished the video, but felt compelled to share:

Pidcock's reaction to 1:13: "Oil." 🤣 Gonads of steel.

Also: keeping up with Tom Pidcock on a descent with seeming ease is just wow! 😲

No jeans ?

So I got the chance to watch the video finally -
Do you see where he was late apexing/early apexing depending on the corner and site line?
This road has the added difficulty of not being freshly paved.

To be honest, I could only focus on that when watching the video for the second and third time. The first time I was just amazed, my heart skipped a beat roughly a minute in, and I pulled imaginary brakes when Brian (the rider who filmed everything and seems to hold the KOM on that segment) got way too close for comfort at speeds in excess of 60, 70 km/h.

I felt a bit better when I read that this is a one-way street.
