Hello Ben!! Long time no see man !!

That great!! you can put me in this ride.
I'll send you message later with my mobile number. ok

Anyone want to join us??

Hello Ben,
It's Travis. I met you on the "Tour d' Unagi" ride.
The ride sounds really great, but I think it's too short.
For a lot of people to take the train all that way out to Chiba, and only ride 50km, is ちょっと中途半端! It's like only going "half-way", then stopping.
The ride should at least be 100km, then people will have a sense of accomplishment - 達成感がある。
But it looks like fun, so maybe I'll go...
Can you make the ride longer???

Hi Tora-san, Newton-san.

Long time no see.
Total distance 50km is just for ladys.
Unfortunately, any ladys haven't repled me so far.
But I can make some option for you.
I recommend that you start at Tsudanuma or Makuhari station.
And take rout 14, 357 and 297 to the meeting point (牛久駅).
Taking rout 14 from Makuhari is suitable for cycling because road is wide so you can ride fast.
From Tsudanuma to Kamogawa will be about 100km.
And there are lots of up and down aroud Yorokeikoku.
You can coose steep hill as you like.

I might join you from Chiba city depending on another participants.

Hey Ben,
I checked the map, and Ushiku station is not too far from my place, so I could ride there (about 50km), then we can do the ride.
Hello Newton! We haven't met yet, but I'm looking forward to the ride, and meeting you.
So far, only the 3 of us!
Hope some more people can join! T

Hi every one and thanks to Ben.

I'd love to do this journey but i am injured. I have inflamed nerves in my arms. :eek:uch: Going to far on my flat bar bike I suppose. The numbness starts while I am riding it. The Docs giving me some injections and some tablets but I don't think I will be riding again for a little while.

I'm changing to a drop bar in the new year, then hopefully no more problems.

Have a great ride and if possible I'll see you at the Enuro race on the 17th.

that's horrible news, man! I hope you feel better. this definitely pushed me over the edge on grabbing a dropped bar bike. I have been so busy/sick lately that I haven't had a chance to get a real roadbike yet, so I've been slow touring on my folding bike.

I'm sure one of you all has ripped by me before, though. :bike:

If I had my bike yet I would join all of you!

Hey Newton,
This is Travis (aka; YellowGiant). I'll be starting from Shibamata in Katsushika-ku, just this side of Edogawa, before you cross over into Chiba-ken.
I'll ride down to route 14, and then head towards Chiba city (it's about 30km from my place).
Tsudanuma is about half-way - ie. 15km.
From Chiba city, I think it's another 20km to get to Ushiku, which is the starting point. To make it there by 10:00, I'll have to leave here around 7:30am at the latest.... I haven't checked the map yet, so if it's more than 50, I might have to leave earlier.
But in the mean time, possible meeting places will be:
Route 14 bridge (across Edogawa, near Koiwa) at 7:45.
Tsudanuma: at 8:15.
Chiba: at 9:00.
Or finally, if you can't make any of the meeting places, Ushiku at 10:00, with Ben.
Let me know where you'll be, OK!
Later! T

I just checked the map properly.

Oops!
It's 25km from Chiba city.
Only 5 extra k's (3miles), but time-wise, that adds up to another 15-20mins.
Hope that's alright!?
T

Hi Travis,

Thanks for your post.
well, is it ok for you if we meet in Chiba station around 9:00?
I already sent to you PM message with my mobile number and I'll call you
when I get there but don't worry about the time because I'll be there before 9.

Chiba station, 8:45

I'll be riding through Chiba at about 8:45, and hopefully meet Newton at the station. From there, we'll roll down route 16 to 五井 (Goi), and turn left onto route 297 - might be slightly uphill to Ushiku.
It's 25km+ from Chiba station to Ushiku, so Ben, you might have to wait for us if we get a late start out of Chiba (10:15-10:20位).
See you there! T
P.S. Newton, I sent you a PM with my Ph.Number.

Hi Travis, Newton,

Ok, I will wait for you.
I will mail you my mobile number by private message.

See you

Ben:p
