A frequent question I'm asked is "Where can I rent a bike during my stay in Tokyo?"
One solution might be rin project near Ueno. Their bikes are not high-spec, but if they get more requests for road bikes maybe they'll make some.
So, if you're looking for a rental for a day or a few days, you could do worse than check them out.
Bonus: Mr. Koichiro Nakamura there speaks excellent English.
Tell him 'Half-Fast Mike' sent you.
