Dear All,

Does anyone know where in Tokyo/Yokohama I can get a soft, lightweight, yet sturdy travel bag for taking my bike on the plane?

Many Thanks!!

Y's In yokohama: located between Sakuragicho Station and Yokohama Station (Have to say Y's has the worst service ever.. always feel they never want to sell me anything!)

Tokyo Hands: Located in central Yokohama

Stage 1: Located on Route 16 (Nearest station Hoshikawa, great service especailly for taller riders as the manager is very tall for a Japanese)

Sagami Cycle: Mitsukyo (Love this place... so freindly and have a bike freindly cafe/resturant on the 1st floor! there is actually 3 shops there 1 for roadies and gear and 1 for MTB riders the last is for Mamachari and located well away from the other two shops)

Let me know if you need exact locations and I will send you maps from Google.

I have used the bag below on planes. Produced by Ostrich and available through all bicycle shops. Not foldable however.

While there is a current topic on the matter, can any one recommend a Bike bag for taking the bike on the trains as I am looking for want to use on the 25th for the Tour De West Side with YCC.

Anything your LBS sells should be fine, must of us end up with Ostrich bags. Some types you leave the rear wheel on (quick bagging/unbagging, but big parcel on the train and bag is larger/heavier), other types you take both wheels off.

These are on the Yoshida site, but you can pick them up at the LBS, too:

Where is cycle Yoshida? Google map available? Thanks in advance.....
