Am planning a ride tomorrow from around Higashi-Kurume down south to Kamakura and Shonan, back again on Sunday. Seems like the best route (along the Sagami River) would require a pretty big detour to the west to hook up to the Sagami path, just wondering if anyone can recommend anything more direct? Following rivers seems to be a good option once I hit Midori ward in Yokohama, but getting there seems to involve taking a main road like Route 15. Any tips or suggestions greatly appreciated!

Find your way to Inagi, then Tsurukawa Kaido and Machida Kaido to Machida, from there along the small river all the way to Fujisawa.

If you check out this thread timdesuyo and I did a ride down to Zushi, we actually came out on the coast at Kamakura then rode over to Zushi, it was not a bad route at all, some early traffic stuff, then at the very end traffic, but the part in the middle along the Sakai river was very nice indeed.

There is a link to the route we took further down in the thread.....

OK >> HERE << is a link to the route we took.

Cheers!
