I have been asked to post this on behalf of the Takasaki City Office, organizers of the Haruna-san Hill Climb, and I would like to thank the Admin of TCC for giving me permission to do so.
The 2nd Haruna-san Hill Climb will take place on May 17 and 18 up by Lake Haruna in Takasaki, Gunma prefecture. After a very successful event last year with over 4,000 participants, more than 5,000 riders are expected to participate this year. Takasaki City is making a special effort this year to attract non-Japanese riders to participate in order to add a little international flavor to the event. Full details of the event, and how to sign up can be found at the official website for the event
http://www.haruna-hc.jp/index.shtml
I understand that many riders in Japan will be able to work their way through this Japanese language website, but for those of you who may not be able to do so, an English webpage with all the details has been set up here
http://www.haruna-hc.jp/english.html
On this page you can find full details of the event in English, an Entry Form which can be downloaded in PDF format to be completed and faxed back, a telephone number to call with English inquiries, and a web contact form that can also be used to send and receive English inquiries.
Takasaki City will also have English speaking staff available to help out with the many different aspects of the event should assistance be required.
Personally I am not a rider, but if any questions are posted here about the event, I will do my best to get an answer back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you for your attention.
