Early 1980s (to judge by the write-up of its rear derailer at disraeligears.co.uk) Miyata LeMans Criterium. (No space in "LeMans"!) A photo taken by the Yafu-oku seller. It came with new tyres and chain, it had been adjusted and lubed; so it was ready to roll twenty minutes after I took bits of it out of the very large box. The handlebar is of course a truncated drop handlebar: far more comfortable than I'd expected, so I kept it. Nasty ("period") saddle and pedals, replaced. Too short seatpost, replaced. And it's now got lights and a bell. The chainwheels are too big for me and I should replace them. Otherwise it's fine.
