Details

Bought in February from a coworker who acquired it a few weeks earlier and didn't even remove it from the box. A classic pandemic purchase. I only managed slightly better, taking it out of the box, setting it up, doing a spin down, and then ... never using it again. All my Zwifting plans -- unfulfilled. My dream of hitting an FTP of 500 (cough, cough, splutter) -- still just a dream. The trainer has been sitting idle in the corner of my room, a constant rebuke for my laziness.

But hey, my laziness (and financial recklessness) could be your gain.

I still have the box and all the parts that came in it. I also have a SRAM XDR freehub body (currently installed on the trainer) for use with SRAM 12sp groupsets. It cost around Y8,000. Included free in the sale. If you run Shimano, it's very easy to switch back to the freehub that came on the trainer. The only thing I can't find anywhere is the instruction manual, but it's available in full online.

The Force 12sp cassette in the photo isn't included. I'm selling it separately. (I haven't got around to uninstalling it from the trainer.) The other thing that's not included is the multi-adaptor plug that you need to plug the trainer into the wall.

I'd prefer buyer pick-up and a cash sale, but will consider other proposals. I can post the trainer anywhere in Japan, at buyer's expense.

Latest questions

Hi,

Have you turned the unit on to make sure it still all works within the last month or so?

Thanks.

Thanks @Justin! A few more questions if you don't mind:

1. Any issues with the belt/flywheel? I'm guessing not since it is essentially new.
2. Do you have the model number? And to confirm, the unit was originally purchased Feb. 2021?
3. Would be able to provide me with the boxes dimensions? LxWxH? If I would to purchase, I would need to bring a suitcase to pick it up.

Thanks for your time.

No problem.

1. The belt/flywheel appear to be working fine.
2. Please see the additional image that I've attached to the ad. The guy I bought the trainer from ordered it from Crown Gears last year. There was a delay, and he got the trainer in January.
3. When the box is standing the right way up, the base measures 50cm by 27cm. It's 67cm tall.

If you do decide to buy it, and you set it up and encounter a problem, I'd happily take it back and refund you.

Cheers.

Meant to add: as far as I know, there's only been one generation of Kickr Core.
