Longtime lurker here; I hope it's OK to post this on this forum.
Our son has outgrown his bike, so it’s time for a larger size. As part of this, we would like to find a good home for his 20in. bike. It's a Islabikes Beinn 20 Large. Islabikes is a maker in the UK that focuses on making kids bikes. They make bikes designed for kids, not adult bikes shrunk down to kids’ size. Islabikes are not sold in Japan at retail; we bought ours from the US.
The Beinn 20 Large is intended for kids age 6+, from about 120cm in height, with an inseam between 52cm and 62 cm. It's an alloy frame, size 20in., with 7 speed gripshift, v-brakes, kids' specific cockpit and saddle, and presta valves. It weighs 7.5kg, which is quite light for a kids’ bike (many are 10kg+). That makes it easier for kids to control confidently and easier to ride. See this link for full specs (note that our bike is an older colorway, but no significant change to spec from that listed here to my knowledge). https://www.islabikes.co.uk/products/childrens-bike-multi-purpose-beinn-20-large
It's in almost new condition: we bought it in 2018 but our son really only learned to ride last year. There is a small paint chip on the top tube though as in the photo attached.
Used Beinn 20 Large bikes are regularly listed in the UK on ebay for GBP200 (JPY30,000) or more. So, we ask for 30,000 for ours. The bike fits easily in the back of our car, so we can delivery to most anywhere in the Tokyo Metro area. We are also happy to arrange a test ride if desired. Outside of Tokyo we can ship the bike. Removing the front wheel and pedals, the bike will fit into a box we got from an LBS measuring 230cm (length, width, height combined). We can provide a quote for shipping cost upon request.
Thanks much
